Roberto Martinez believes that Southampton have a good away record but is confident that the Swans can do it tomorrow

Martinez goes head to head with another foreign manager in Jan Poortvliet - the Dutchman who holds the title of head coach at Southampton.

Southampton arrive at the Liberty on the back of a good point at Bramall Lane in midweek whilst the Swans put their unbeaten home record on the line against the Saints.

Speaking via swanseacity.net, Martinez said "I'm sure we are all going to see a really open and attack-minded game of football this weekend

"Jan (Poortvliet) has brought with him different ideas from Holland and is creating a very young and talented Saints squad that will provide us with a very different test to the one we faced against QPR.

"The level of performance is vital for us as a football club, but with two away fixtures around the corner we all know the significance of the three points on Saturday."

"We are gaining confidence at home

"A good home record is vital, but Southampton are a side who have done well away from home this season.

"They are a young team trying to play the right way and probably they enjoy not having the expectation or pressure you get at home matches."
