Saints look set to lose two more players in the next day or so.

July 1st is a big day in the football calendar, that is the day after most football contracts expire in a year and that means those that are now out of contract can move on a Bosnan free transfer as it has become known.

First out of the door on this basis looks to be Kelvin Davis who seems set to join West Ham, this on the face of it appears a strange move for the soon to be 33 year old Davis, either West Ham  fans need to be worried because their England keeper Robert Green is leaving, or Davis is content to take the money sitting on a Premiership bench, to be blunt if Green is at the club its difficult to see Davis getting a look in.

Andrew Surman also seems set to depart, probably to Wolves for a fee that is quoted in the press at about £1.5 million, no one can blame Surman for this, he is at an age where he desrerves something better than League 1 and a shot at the Premiership with its attendant wages is obviously too tempting, but good luck too him.

Saints fans shouldnt be too surprised at these moves, we are now a League 1 Club within days of going out of business, our players have to take opportunities when they are there, of course the money will help prop up the club for a few days longer, but Mark Fry is now at the point where he has to consider that we have been in administration for three months, if he hasnt found a buyer by now, will he ever.
