Administrator Mark Fry & his company have been honoured by their industry for their work with Saints

A minority of Saints supporters questioned admistrator Mark Fry & his company Begbies Traynor for the way he handled the club's administration.

In truth Traynor behaved impeccably and although he went down a few blind alleys, specifically with the Pinnacle Group, he eventually made sure that Saints achieved the right result, something than in hindsight most Saints supporters would agree with.

Now Begbies have been honoured at the 2009 Insolvency & Rescue Awards for this work

"Begbies dealt with the emotions of the fans, as well as the needs of different classes of creditors in this complex and high risk profile rescue" was the opinion of the judging panel.

Most Saints fans only understood the emotional ties of the Club and I feel its fair to say that Pinnacle had to be shown for the charlatans they were in order for Liebherr & indeed Alan Pardew to be given the breathing space they needed, if Pinnacle had been bypassed for Liebherr, its fair to say that there would always have been that hine of "What if" everytime things hadnt gone right.
