Mick McCarthy welcomes the Swans to Molineux this weekend determined to end a very poor run for his side.

Two wins and a draw at the start of the season had suggested brighter things for Wolves this season but five straight defeats has seen them slide down the table and they welcome the Swans having now looked up at them in the league table.

"How am I? Personally I'm fantastic, professionally I'm hurting because I've lost five on the bounce," said the former Republic of Ireland manager.

"It's not my club, but it's my job, it's my profession.

"It's what I do and it's what I'm good at, but unfortunately at the moment it's not going particularly well.

"I have carried it particularly well for five years — better than most since 1984 or whatever year you want to go back to.

"You get no kudos for that at all. All you get is results, I fully understand that.

"But what do you want me to do about it? Top myself? Hang myself? Throw myself in the canal.

"No, I keep working to turn it around and get a result on Saturday and, if we do, the place is a brighter place."
