VIDEO: Laudrup - We Are Favourites
Thursday, 24th Oct 2013 06:05

Michael Laudrup knows that a victory for the Swans on Thursday night will mean that they put one foot into the knockour stage of the group competition.

The Swans have won both of their Europa League group games to date and now face a double header against Kuban Krasnodar who have lost both of theirs.

A victory for the Swans will mean they end the evening a minimum of five points clear of the side in third place with just nine left to play for and that would almost certainly mean that a win in Russia in two weeks time should seal that qualification through to the next stage of the competition next year.

Interestingly, 888sport.com have the Swans down now as 20/1 to go further in the competition than any other English representative which seems a good bet given the decent start made by the English sides in the Champions League which could mean 20/1 to go further than Spurs (with one eye on their own Champions League qualification for next season) or Wigan. Seems a good bet?

Once again we have no Ashley Williams for this game as he still struggles with his ankle injury whilst Ben Davies has also been ruled out for the game and has been ruled out for up to four weeks.

The game kicks off at 8.05pm and will be screened live on ITV4.
