Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell has today completed his move to Sunderland.

The 23 year old has signed a five year deal with Sunderland for a fee to be reported around £10 million. Rodwell signed for City from Everton in the summer of 2012 for £12 million, but has struggled to hold down a regular first team place making only 12 start in two seasons.

He had been linked with a move back to Everton and Wet Brom, Newcastle and Southampton have all sown interest, but Rodwell opted for Sunderland after speaking to Gus Poyet.

Rodwell will team up with former City team-mate Costel Pantilimon who has also moved to Sunderland after being released by City in the summer.
