BLACKPOOL boss Lee Clark admits the majority of his squad are playing for their futures following a battling draw with Reading as relegation from the Championship 24 hours earlier hit home.

Jamie O’Hara’s sixth-minute penalty was cancelled out by Grant Hall’s own goal early in the second half.

Clark said: “They are playing for pride and their futures. Most are out of contract and are playing for their futures.

“I said if I had this group of players from the beginning we wouldn’t have been dead and buried by this stage.”

Before kick-off Blackpool’s fans vented their anger at the club owner Owen Oyston and chairman son Karl outside Bloomfield Road as they threw eggs and let off smoke bombs near the directors’ entrance.
