"You've got no fans!" - Cardiff set to bring nobody to ER
Wednesday, 8th Apr 2015 18:14

Apparently there's a storm brewing in the Valleys.

Cardiff City (or whatever they are called these days) face a humiliating chant of "Is that all you bring away?" to an empty away section as enraged fans of the Welsh club are threatening to boycott Saturday's clash at Elland Road.

Leeds had implemented a "voucher scheme" for the fixture, whereby fans have to arrive at a M1 service station at a pre-determined time to swop the voucher for a match-ticket. Similar restrictions are imposed on Millwall fans. However Cardiff officials cited league rules which stipulate a minimum of 2000 tickets have to be issued. Leeds responded by offering just a quarter of that which fans have blasted as "derisory".

Leeds have refused to comment on the situation and I'm sorry, I'm with the Welshies on this one. Surely there can't be that many trouble-causers bothered with travelling all that way to watch the dross served up under Russell Slade? The last time it really kicked off was over 13 years ago at Ninian Park after a FA Cup 3rd round tie when League One Cardiff knocked then Premier League leaders Leeds out. All that really happened were some silly children ran on the pitch and the Police didn't keep order!

Surely we are shooting ourselves in the foot by denying entry to thousands of passionate, desperate Welshmen, willing to pay up to £36 a ticket to hopefully see their side lose to Leeds for the first time in 31 years?

This clearly is an indicator at how chaotic things currently are behind the scenes at Leeds at the moment?
