Sky Sports Report United's Bid For Schneiderlin On Hold
Tuesday, 30th Jun 2015 14:14

Sky Sports are reporting that sources close to Manchester United are reporting that the Old Trafford Club have put the deal on hold.

According to Sky Sports United have not contacted Saints about Schneiderlin since an initial enquiry on 20th June some 10 days ago despite the fact that betting was suspended on the transfer so sure where the bookmakers that this deal was very close to fruition.

Earlier today this site speculated that Schneidferlin might not be United's number 1 target and that they may be hedging their bets on the Saints midfielder whilst persuing their other preferred targets including Bastian Sweinsteiger.

The evidence this afternoon is suggesting that this could be the case with United stepping back from the plate but not withdrawing themselves from the deal completely, in many ways this replicates their chasing of Nathaniel Clyne were at one stage the right back seemed destined for Old Trafford but suddenly United seemed to cool on the idea.

This is of course leaving Schneiderlin in limbo, but more worryingly Saints, who are keen to get on with their own squad building.

Just seen on Sky Sports HQ, apparently Utd. Offered £25m some days ago, but does not meet our valuation of £30m !!!?????
I don't know, Clyne was going to United weeks ago, and Spider was going to join United this week. It said so in the Papers. Are they telling lies ? I don't understand. What's going on ?
Perhaps I'll wait, like I do every Window until Southampton FC make an official announcement when their business is done. Ralph did tell everyone that that was what was going to happen. We don't conduct our business in Public. Roll on September 1st

Tonight Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes but who will wake up with the horse's head beside him?

Remember you heard it here first from the Consigliere

Morgan looks pretty happy in training shots so must feel it is only a matter of when rather than if he leaves. Local newspapers up there suggest a bid of £20m is in and talks have been on-going for two weeks. All Koeman said was no serious bids had been received by 1 July, he didn't mention discussions of course because admitting to discussions would be in direct contradiction of the regulations on transfer windows and dealings.

It will be interesting to see what will happen if Morgan is still here when the pre-season tour starts.
