Beattie - Transfer Work Is Done

Swansea coach James Beattie has told Talksport that he thinks our transfer work for the summer could be completed once we finalise the move to bring Eder to the Liberty Stadium.

As the Swans continue to be linked to many players, Beattie thinks that Garry Monk may have completed his transfer dealings for the summer with his four captures - Kristoffer Nordfeldt, Andre Ayew, Franck Tabanou and the soon-to-be-confirmed Eder.

With over a month to the season starting its a bold statement but one that makes sense although Beattie did concede that you never say never when you are looking at things like this

"I think if we do acquire Eder then Garry will be happy for the moment but in football, you can never say never,” Beattie told Talksport.

Beattie joined the coaching staff at the Swans a couple of weeks back but has held a long relationship with boss Garry Monk that goes back to their time together at Southampton

"I know the other big thing for the club is the integration of players into the group, so a lot of work is done on the background of the players and their characteristics.

"We are pleased with the acquisitions we have got at the moment with Andre Ayew and Kristoffer Nordfeldt, the young keeper who has come in to try to push Fabianski. I think they are the sort of players who can come in and improve the squad.

"We are more than happy with the business we have done so far but if we get Eder and possibly one other, then I think Garry will be more than happy with it.”
