Koeman Happy At St Mary's And Wants A Trophy Before He leaves Thursday, 24th Sep 2015 17:14 Ronald Koeman has once again re iterated that he is happy at St Mary's and does not intend to desert the club should the Dutch managers job become vacant Speaking at Thursday afternoon's press conference ahead of the game against Swansea City Koeman said. "I'm very settled here, I've already had that question last week, It's the same answer: I have a contract with Southampton until the end of next season. What will happen after that, nobody knows, but until that date I'm the coach of Southampton." Saints strolled into the last 16 of the Capital One Cup with a 6-0 win at MK Dons and Koeman is eager to deliver a trophy to the club before he considers moving on. "It's difficult to win a trophy but it would be an amazing job if we win something. The most important thing at the moment is to develop ourselves, we have a lot of new faces in the team." "We have to fight for a high position in the table and that starts this Saturday against Swansea City." Great words from Koeman and its good to see that he wants success for Saints rather than just seeing out his contract, too many managers these days are only concerned with safety in the Premier league and hence put out drastically weakened sides in the cup competitions, not Koeman, he has confidence in his own ability and he want success and glory rather than just survival.
