Scott Tanser has left the club today and has joined League 1 side Port Vale.

Tanser has found first team opportunities difficult in the past couple of seasons at Spotland after initially impressing earlier in his career. Big things were expected when he first came into the side with fine performances at left back and also as a makeshift centre half but after suffering injuries, he found himself down the pecking order. The form of Joe Bunney has seen the left back position become his own.

So after leaving the club in a mutually agreed decision, he has signed for Port Vale on a free transfer. He joins the Potteries club on a deal keeping him at Vale Park until the end of the season.
