Done deal? Sunday, 23rd Jul 2017 10:02 by Col Matt Done has been linked with a return to Spotland in the Sunday papers. It's been reported in the Sunday Sun that Dale are in talks with Sheffield United about signing Matt Done for a third time, with discussions taking place regarding the fee. It is believed that Done was at Spotland on Saturday afternoon to watch the 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough. He originally signed for Sheffield United two and a half years ago, and he triggered an extension to his contract as the Blades won the League One title last season. However, a move away from Bramhall Lane would suit all parties and he's not featured in any of their preseason games so far suggesting they are keen to move him on. There had been talk of Rotherham coming in for him but a switch to the New York Stadium failed to materialise. Done made thirty one league appearances for Sheffield United last season.
