Saints Dutch Star Desperate To Move !
Friday, 17th Nov 2017 08:22

Not the first time that this headline has been used in the last six months, but where he has told the Dutch Media he would like to go is the big surprise.

Jordie Clasie has told the Dutch media he is desperate to leave St Mary's and that a move to his previous club Feyenoord would be the ideal move for him.

Clasie found hmself persona non gratis in the second half of last season despite a couple of impressive displays when Claude Puel did play him after January and this season has found himself surplus to requirements and on loan at Brugge in Belgium.

He has fared no better there and played only three times, which is a sad story for a player who found his career at St Mary's jinxed from the very start due to injury.

Saints could therefore look to sell him in January and he is hoping that Feyenoord might be interested in taking him back, indeed he wanted to go there at the start of the season but found that the move was not on the cards, but he is hoping that maybe next summer it will.

”I was very eager to be loaned back to Feyenoord,” he said in an interview with RTV Rijnmond.

”I sought to get in contact with them, and was ready to take a pay cut to join them.

”But Feyenoord didn’t want me. I still hope to go back and maybe it can happen next season.”

Good luck to you Jordy in your search for a new team you were never given a chance here. When you do go take JWP with you.

A shame but good luck to him. I don't think we saw the best of him but those are the breaks sometimes.

Jordie was massively under rated here and never had a fair chance from any of the so-called managers of the time. Good players don't suddenly become useless overnight but football today is so fickle and impatient and Saints have damned him by loaning him out.

Come off it, he was rubbish whilst here, apart from scoring a wonderful goal he was out of his depth. As others say, he is a nice lad but was never suitable for premiership football

How can he have been rubbish Ace if he was never given a chance. Same with Hot now?

Classie had plenty of chances to prove himself but always failed and even RK could not afford to play him. The ball bounced over his head and he was too lightweight to win tackles. The promised defence splitting passes never happened
