Saints Will Travel To West London In The Carabao Cup

Saints have an away tie in the Carabao Cup, but it is one of the shortest journey's they could have been tasked with and one they know well.

Saints will make the relatively short trip up the M3 to face Fulham in the 2nd round of the Carabao Cup a competition that they were runners up in three seasons ago and also in 1978/79.

Saints fans will see this as a reasonable draw in that although Fulham are one f the better sides in the Championship, it will be one that is winnable.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has spoken that he aims to take the cup games seriously this season and hopefully he will not underestimate Fulham and put out a very weakened side.

The tie will be played in the week beginning 26th August.
