Ralph Confirms Injury News For Spurs Cup Game
Thursday, 23rd Jan 2020 14:05

Ralph Hasenhuttl has confirmed the injury news for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup on Saturday, but as we know he sometimes mishears the medical staff, so quick recoveries often happy.

Definitely missing is Cedric with a knee injury and he will be joined by both Jannik Vestergaard who has tripped over a Fox and Shane Long, with of course Yan Valery whose absence vary's between an injury, a virus or just guesswork.

Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed.

“Cédric is out for three weeks maybe with a ligament injury in the knee, Jannik is also out because he has a concussion from an elbow he hit."

“Longy also has a swollen knee so is not able to play at the weekend. So, we have three automatic changes to the starting eleven.”

James Ward Prowse could also miss the game after picking up a hissy fit from an overpaid over egoed Crystal Palace player on Tuesday although this did not cause him to miss any games when he picked up the same issue a year ago.

well..perfect timing for those who want to show up in a top drawer FA Cup game.

If Valery still not 100% ..couldn't JWP cover the place on Saturday, he seemed good enough v. Palace and still managed to take care of Zaha. If so Will Smallbone could take over Prowsie's midfield role for the day, and would expect Romeu to complete the MF given his good performance on Tuesday.
No Vestergaard means that we have no other CB's except Yoshida or Danso (but sounds problematic against a team like Spurs)

Must mean a chance for Ché Adams and /or Obafemi... in for Shane Long.
Have i missed anyone? Oh....does that mean Angus Gunn will be in goal ..or ?

P:S. to above ...of course this is the curse of the manager who says that he has a good side who are playing well...in the space of two games suddenly we're 4 players down.

Can we assume Bednarek will be back?
