Euro 2020 Postponed
Tuesday, 17th Mar 2020 12:48

It has been announced that this summers tournament has been postponed, read on for the full details and what it might mean to the Premier League

it is not UEFA though that has confirmed that Euro 2020 will not be taking place, but the Norwegian FA who are taking part in a video conference call and have been the first to confirm the tournament is postponed but not cancelled with the plan being that it will take place next year between 11th June to 11th July.

This means that European footballing nations have the space in the diary to hopefully complete their seasons assuming that the virus threat has dropped by May and in our case the Premier League could now complete the 9 matches left to play for each club between late May and July 12th the original date set for the Euro 20 final.

A short break could then be had before the Premier League would start again for 2020/21 perhaps with a slightly later start than normal.
