According to media reports, Saints are close to announcing the signing of Mohamed Salisu, just as soon as his quarantine ends, now you know why it's taking so long.

The press are saying that Mohamed Salisu is currently in England and in quarantine, that is due to end at the weekend and he will then join up with his new team mates at Staplewood when Saints resume pre season training in full on Monday.

This and the need to obtain a work permit have delayed Saints from being able to announce the deal as being completed, however it is said an announcement is close and that could be as soon as tomorrow (Wednesday)

That will be good news for Saints fans, although it will be interesting to see the first pictures of Salisu in a Saints shirt, normally a new player is shown wearing the shirt either on the pitch at the stadium or in a posed scene as if he is putting pen to paper on his contract.

Perhaps Saints have already taken the picture in Spain or will we see a zoomed shot of Salisu waving the shirt from a distance from the hotel room where he is isolating..
