Southampton fans will be pleased to hear that the club have got a League Two side in the second round of the Carabao cup, a competition they home to do well in again after an early exit last season.

Saints will meet League Two Newport County AFC to complete a trio of Welsh clubs played in Wales this season.

Sadly it isn't a home draw, and the Exiles have a great record at home in cup competitions of late, but given our respective League positions it is one where we would hope to be able to progress.

The ties will be played in the week beginning Monday 23rd August and full details of the exact date etc will be announced in the next few days.
