Saints Launch New Podcast Series - The Southampton Way !

The way football clubs communicate with supporters has changed drastically in the 33 years that the Ugly Inside has been in existence, Now Saints have launched a series of podcasts covering the 20 years since we moved from the Dell to St Mary's

Saints have launched a new series of podcasts aimed at letting supporters get a more in depth view of what has happened at the club since it moved from Milton Road to Britannia Road back in the summer of 2001.

As a service to Saints supporters we print the press release below.

Southampton Football Club has today launched a brand new podcast series exploring the moments, people and players that have defined the club’s first 20 years at St Mary’s – and continue to shape the future of Saints.

• Each episode lets fans step behind the scenes with the moments, people and players that have defined the club and continue to shape the future of Southampton FC.

Part of a campaign to mark two decades since Southampton FC’s move from The Dell to St Mary’s, award-winning sports broadcaster Jonathan Overend (BBC) presents the podcast, inviting fans behind the scenes with exclusive never-before-heard interviews from board members, backroom staff, club legends and current first team players, spread across five unique episodes.

A brief synopsis of each episode can be found below:

Episode 1 | All in: With James Ward-Prowse

From 8-year-old academy prospect to club captain, England international and consummate professional – Saints skipper James Ward-Prowse has always been all in.

Listen as coaches and teammates, including Theo Walcott, Kyle Walker-Peters and Nathan Redmond, lift the lid on what makes Prowsey the man they want to lead them into battle. While the captain himself reveals some of his secrets – including his unique approach to set-piece delivery.

Nick, a better way to communicate with the fans would be for the club’s employees to simply answer the phone.
