Ralph Confirms That He Has Two Back In Contention For The Brentford Game
Monday, 10th Jan 2022 11:34

Ralph Hasenhuttl will be feeling a lot happier this morning as he reveals that two of those missing on Saturday's extra time FA Cup win at Swansea City will be returning to the squad to face Brentford on Tuesday evening.

Saints will have both Che Adams and Mohammed Salisu back in the squad to face the Bee's, striker Che Adams has recovered from his bout of Covid and completed his isolation period, whilst central defender Salisu is back from his suspension.

Ralph had this to say ahead of the game:

“Ché Adams is available for selection and no new cases so far and hopefully it stays like this.

“Sali[su] is back after his suspension, this is a good thing. The rest had a very tough game on Saturday for a 120 minutes and nearly 90 minutes with one man down, it cost energy definitely.

“We’ll find a squad that is able to compete on Tuesday night in front of our crowd.”

But it seems that the other walking wounded are not ready to return to action just yet, however there seems to be good news on Tino Livramento, who although will still not be available for this game, has done some light training.

“We are looking from day to day, the first steps in training now have shown no reaction from the knee which is good, there’s no new fluid and that gives us a little bit of hope. He’s still not in team training so we will have a look from day to day.

“We will find a solution there, like always,” he continued. “When we have two injured goalkeepers we sign another one and for the right-back position we’ll have to have a look, but we’ll find a solution.”

Good about Salisu. I was under the impression that FA cup games didn't 'count' as a suspension game. Glad I was wrong
