Southampton fans will be glad to hear that the date has been set for the trip to Fulham in the 5th round of the FA cup, they perhaps won't be too happy to hear that there will be delays due to work on the railway.

Saints will travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday 8th March with a midday kick off.

The fact that it a noon kick off would have been bad enough to start with, but on that weekend there are railworks scheduled for both the Saturday & Sunday on that day.

That means that trains to London will be diverted via Havant and Guildford, so the normal 1 hr 20 mins journey will now take around the 2 hour mark.

That means the latest train from Southampton Central that you could get and make it in time for the kick off is 9.31 am.

There will be a big travelling support going up to this one, lets hope that South Western Railways realise this and put on enough carriages to transport Saints fans in comfort.
