Why Not Have A Non League Day On Saturday At AFC Totton
Wednesday, 4th Mar 2026 21:00

With Saints playing at Fulham on Sunday in the FA Cup, why not have an afternoon at one of your local Southampton non League clubs, its quite cheap, you can usually have a beer whilst watching the match and your close to the action, here are a few options.

With our highest ranked non League team Eastleigh away at York City, the honour of highest ranked game locally falls to AFC Totton who take on Horsham in the National League South at the Snows Stadium.

Totton currently sit 14th in the League and are having a good season in their debut at this level and are now only two promotions from League Two.

Horsham are only 2 points ahead of the Stags, but have played 2 games more, so this is going to be a game both will want to win and push themselves within sight of the play off spots

The Stags have a modern stadium with terracing on all four sides and covered seating on both sides.

Advance tickets are available on line at Adult £15, Concession £11, Child 5-17 £6 Family Ticket (2 Adult+2 Children) £30

Match Day Tickets are also available on the day, Prices Adult £17, Concession £13, Child 5-17 £8 Family Ticket (2 Adult + 2 Children) £40

All Under 5 free with accompanied adult

There is plenty of free car parking available at the adjacent Calmore Industrial Estate.

Next local team in the pecking order are Sholing FC, but they are away at Gosport Borough in a 6th V 5th game in the Southern League Premier South, Sholing are above the Pompey area side only on goal difference.

AFC Stoneham were in the headlines at the weekend as they won through to the Semi Final of the FA Vase and are now only a two leg shoot out from reaching Wembley.

They are also top of the Wessex League Premier division and they play just the other side of the M27 from Eastleigh FC on Stoneham Lane, but sadly they are also away this weekend, taking on Bournemouth FC.

So AFC Totton are the only option for those who want a fairly high level of football to watch this weekend as Saints have a rare Saturday without a game, why not pop along and take a look, it's a breath of fresh air when compared to the penalty area wrestling contest that the Premier League has once again become.

Historically, Saints have had contacts with some local non-league clubs in various ways and the use of Eastleigh's ground for U21 / Women's matches are prime examples, and Totton's recent promotion has given them a push up the ladder, where - at present - they seem to be keeping their heads above water in a very competitive league.
A nice gesture to give a plug for them (Nick) and we can hope that a few Saints fans will make the trip to cheer them, on an otherwise "blank day" in Saints' League programme.
