Extra Trains Have Been Laid On For Saints Fans For Trip To Wembley
Friday, 17th Apr 2026 13:44

South Western Railway is laying on dozens of extra trains to the schedule on Saturday April 25th to get Southampton fans to London for the FA Cup Final against Manchester City, read on for more details.

Saints fans were worried about getting to London by train as part of the main line between Southampton & London will have replacement bus services running, now some of the issues have been resolved with South Western Railways adding on direct services to London Waterloo, although these will still need to be diverted via Fareham & Guildford.

The Daily Echo has reported that there should be no problem getting to London by train next Saturday for the trip to Wembley, although the added services will all pass through Guildford so journey times will increase from the usual 1hr 20 mins to nearer the 2 hour mark.

As it stood the only direct service from Southampton Central to London was the train on the hour which stops at Fareham, Havant & Guildford on the way to London.

Now between 8am and 2pm there will be extra trains added, these are direct to London with no stops and will leave at 25 & 44 minutes past the hour.

It's a similar situation coming home with the 01 past the hour being the stopping service and the 27 & 39 mins pas being the direct trains.

Well Done UI for publishing the provisional timetable.
A bar with Full English will do extremely well.
