I don't believe him. Someone on his staff must have known about the rule and told him. He's brought shame and embarrassment on the club and I feel we can't move forward unless he goes.

Who wants to be back on the managerial merry go around again, after the last few years of disastrous appointments and tactical disasters? And we have one shot to get it right this year before the money runs out.
I have no interest in Saints being self destructive and ruining their chances of next season, to act as some sacrificial lamb to the alter of sanctimious hypocrisy in football.
Banging on about shame and embarrassment? Give your head a wobble ClintWestwood - Tonda is no Bob Higgins

Eckert must be kept. As many of our best players must be kept. This is no time for fans to feel embarrassed and shamed. Wear that badge with pride and do not be swayed by the ridiculous media frenzy over minor incidents. It is disgraceful and we need to show the world we are proud of our club. Up the Saints

Replace T E with another mediocre, unexciting and unemployed manager. No thank you. Frankly this whole thing has been an opportunity for the Southampton Haters to **** our club.
The glee in some reporters faces was rudely apparent.
The fact that the EFL judges were less than totally separate from Middlesborough indicates to me that the judgement was made before the case was heard.
T E is a great manager and if we lose him we will rue the day. Especially if he ends up at Spuds.

Whilst for football reasons I really want TE to stay, but criticise Clintwestwood's comments above as much as you like, and yes, we all know the punishment was disproportionate to the crime massively, but the bottom line is , we did it, we did cheat. Be honest if our neighbours down the road were in the same position, would we think they'd been heavily punished? Would we be pragmatic and listen to their reasoning? NO, we would make the most of it and have a lifetime of fun out of it at their expense. As good as a manager TE is, he showed a complete lack of understanding and made a very, very poor decision. TE was never going to be here forever....the fans are. He should have considered the consequences for the fans, and not least those who spent 1000s of pounds , for nothing!!

Seems to me that Tonda staying or going is entirely in the FA’s hands, but I hope they make a decision soon

Only decent managerial appointment Sports republic have made. Would be mad to get rid of him!
