Saints have always been a little coy in revealing their exact season ticket numbers, however with just two days to go before the renewal deadline, this year they have given an update on how many have been sold so far, but is this a good or bad headline.

It is generally considered that Southampton season tickets hover around the 20,000 number each season, if we are in the Premier League it is usually a little more, but in the Championship 20k is a good number .

So as The Daily Echo have revealed, the club have sold more than 15,000 sold so far, but that doesn't seem a good number.

It sounds a bit low with just two days to go, although in fairness a lot of supporters generally leave it to the last minute and this year with the renewal date set for Thursday July 2nd at 11.59pm, some will have waited for their monthly wage to be paid at the end of the month before renewing.

This season all supporters who renew before the July 2 deadline will automatically be entered into the prize draw, with no separate application required, to win the cost of their season ticket refunded.

Hopefully there will be late rush in the next two days and sales will head towards the magic 20,000 number.
