A big squad, but there is one notable inclusion as well as three notable absentees.

The surprise man in the squad is Shea Charles who has been the subject of much transfer speculation, it seems that most of it is not as concrete as has been suggested, as he will travel to Germany with the rest of the squad.

This probably is not a great situation for either club or player, Saints would rather that it bed settled early so they can plan properly for the forthcoming season and likewise Charles himself.

Finn Azaz Caspar Jander and Sam Edozie are also not on the plane, all will remain at Staplewood for the week to receive treatment on minor knocks.

Azaz played no part at last week's friendly at Eastleigh due to a shin injury which is ongoing, but Jander played and came off injured.

Yuki Sugawara is back after his trip to the World Cup, but one man missing will be Cyle Larin who will join the squad after the training camp is over after having a few weeks off after his exertions with Canada in the same competition.
