FRENCH top-flight side FC Sochaux-Montbéliard are to host Saints in a pre season friendly according to the Daily Echo site, although despite both the French side and the Echo announcing it Saints offficial website has yet to make any reference.

Sochaux are taking part in a triangular tournament in Switzerland in their pre season and are also going to be in a training camp, but they are going to meet Saints towards the end of this which is based in Divonne-les-Bains, near the Swiss border.

The game will take place on Saturday, July 17, although the exact time and venue of the match is yet to be confirmed, suggesting that it could be a low key event, perhaps not at their normal home ground and Saints may feel that be announcing the game, it would encourage Saints supporters to travel, this tactic has been employed in the past, but usually when we are playing a team like Le Havre.   Rumours of games in Switzerlan the home of Markus Liebherr and Nicola Cortese have been rife for a while, but so far Saints have only announced three relaitvely low key games, one of which at Eastleigh due to its timing just before the season will probably be more of a reserve fixture.
