Defensive Midfielder Nat Brown is hoping for a great season with the Silkmen and hoping for promotion to League One.

After an impressive pre season so far for Macc, Brown has praised manager Gary Simpson for getting a good youthful side together.

“Our gaffer has taken his time over the summer to pick out what he wants and we have a pretty good group of young players,” Brown told the MEN.

“We could probably use a little more experience, but the gaffer has lads who want to work for him.  I want promotion, that’s always my aim, and I don’t think we’re that far away.”
