An yet the wingers were able to compete well in the air and given space did bring the ball down to control it, even Cullen did win at least one ball when the ball was played with a lower trajectory.
I would like to see a better options than Yates, Cullen and Lowe in the centrefoward position possibly with the likes of Cullen and Paterson playing off them, Paterson and Cullen have goals and assists in their locker Cullen should of had an assist again with his ball to Yates.
Both Yates and Lowe seem unable to close a defender down correctly not minimising the defenders options.
With so many possible personal changes next season want to see this season out well to consolated for next season.Would like to see Placheta kept and others stepping in to replace or assist our older players filling the obvious gaps to strengthen us with a view to be able to compete against the so called better teams. | | | |

What I like about both Placheta and Ronald is they are prepared to compete for the ball in the air using different methods to keep us further up the pitch and prepared to take players on by trying to out fox them, doesn't work every time but where they are losing the ball high up the pitch with a properly shaped team should not have a bad effect on the team.
The constant "safe ball" back has usually come when a winger does not have support to help them the centre of the park players are making themselves more available to the wingers getting in better positions so that when people double up on the wingers there is space for players in the middle.
From my view point it did look like against Blackburn our midfield dropped deeper at the start off the second half as we have seen before in other games leaving space for the opposition to press forward.
For me Cullen is making himself a right nuisance up front but needs help and is not an out and out centreforward and Yates has become just a frustration.
We had a number of games where we were on a hiding to nothing where chucking the young centre forward Kuharevich from the start would have cost us nothing especially the FA cup game. | | | |
