We're being linked to another midfielder.

Correction.
Hartigan won't be axailable on a free.
Even though he'll be out of contract this summer Wimbledon can still command a fee 'cos they developed him and he's under 24 years old.
Any fee would be settled by a tribunal in the event that Wimbledon and the purchasing club couldn't agree on a figure.

Neil Critchley on:
- Blackpool's retained list - Summer transfer plans - Why he doesn't anticipate being as busy in the market as he was last seasonhttps://t.co/S7zh3YFTY1

- A cetre forward who can play alone up front. This is vital in evolving the style of football we play. Beesley may be able to do that but we need another.
- Central midfield, obviously.
- RB cover for Gabriel.
- Now that Keogh's 1 year older is Critchley prepared to go with what we've got to partner Ekpiteta?
- Advanced midfielders / strikers. Depends on selling Bowler, signing Kirk or perhaps even selling someone like Hamilton. Will the likes of Dale and Carey be able to step up or do we need another?
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

I'd add a LB loan, as Hubby will miss the start of the season.

For me, someone who can play lone striker would be top of the list.
It'd change the way we play from a passive counter attacking team into one that'd be more dominant who imposes their style on the opponent.
Also, I think Lavery will be sold - he's got a lot of good qualities but can't play the lone striker role and isn't good enough on the ball to play as part of a fluid interchanging thing.

Hull keeper Matt Ingram on our radar.
Likely to be agents talk to negotiate a new contract.

I still maintain that first and foremost, if it's not Beesley, we need a forward who can play the lone striker role.
It'd open up so many new possibilities to our match play strategy.
We currently play with 2 sitting, 2 wide and 2 up top. Therefore leaving a massive hole in the middle and conceding superiority - hoping teams will over commit against "little Blackpool" and hit them with a smash and grab.
Unless the middle 2 are called Xavi and Iniesta you've got no chance of playing on the front foot. It doesn't matter who've got in there, they don't stand a chance. That's why we should prioritise this type of striker and not really the creative box to box midfielder.
With 1 lone, central striker, we could do away with out and out wingers (Bowler and Hamilton) and recruit more Keshi type forwards - floaty / give it and go players - who can play all across the front line and drop deep.
That way, we'd have 5 players in various spaces in midfield and could control games.

Reports claim Blackpool have reignited their interest in Man City winger Morgan Rogers.
The 19-year-old had been lined up as a potential replacement for Josh Bowler during the January window.https://t.co/EfnYEg6gQF

Rumour: Morgan Rogers on loan from Manchester City.
19 years old, wide / front player.
I don't think he'd take up a squad place so possibly some truth in this.

Of course, Ballards a great player but I've got a question mark about him being injury prone - often picking up niggles which'll soon develop into more serious / long term injuries.
Also we'll be looking for a left footer to replace Thorniley and Gretarrson.

Maxwell to Everton's collapsed.
It all sounded fishy. They've got 1 back up keeper with the possibility of a year's extension and another back up who may or may not go out on loan.
