Our Defence
at 17:37 13 Apr 2024

It’s hard to criticise after two clean sheets and reasonably good performances by individuals but our stats of conceding from set pieces and not being particularly good aerially concerns me. A case in point was that near miss at the end today which I thought was going in to be honest.

I watched Blackburn deal with so much today as a unit and wished we had that. Of course, consistency isn’t there with them or else they wouldn’t be in the position they are but they certainly showed what they could do.

Views anyone?

Sky Super 6
at 19:36 7 Apr 2024

I do this most weeks but never really check. Once you’ve entered the scores they try and sell you a Sky Bet on your results (not scores) and what you’d win for a £10 stake.

I never bet so I’ve never done it but an email came through today which allowed me to check my predictions against the actual scores. I got two right but five results right. The only one not showing was the Chelsea game which was playing at the time. It was 1-1 then Chelsea scored to make it 2-1. Then McBurnie scored in added time to make it 2-2. I had Chelsea down for a win!

If I’d made the bet I’d never want to see McBurnie again. Thank God I didn’t😂

And it’s still IF, would you trust Luke Williams with a budget for next year.

Play like this and we’ll be bottom next year. LW doesn’t seem to be able to motivate or woukd he say he doesn’t have the tools??

It’s unlikely he’ll go for financial reasons as much as anything else but let’s look at it hypothetically.

Hospitality Rate Relief
at 09:59 1 Apr 2024

This was on Sky News this morning but nothing as far as I can see in Wales Online. How strange🧐. Likely to be very damaging for the industry as prices will go up and customers will fall away. Welcome to temperate Wales.

Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Rates Relief 2023-24
All applications for relief should be made to your local authority. Links to the relevant local authority application forms are available here.
In 2023-24, the Welsh Government will provide £140m of targeted non-domestic rates support to businesses in the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors.
Businesses will be eligible for 75% off their liability for the financial year. The amount of relief under the Welsh Government’s Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Rates Relief scheme will be capped at £110,000 per business across Wales.
It will be for local authorities to determine how they wish to administer the scheme to maximise take-up and minimise the administrative burden for ratepayers and for local authority staff.
Local authorities are responsible for providing businesses with clear and accessible information on the details and administration of the scheme.

The first 5 in the Championship affect us so hoping for home wins except Sheff Wed. I’d take a draw in that game but probably better Plymouth win.

This one is almost a full house.

“I’m buzzing to be here," said the five-cap Scotland international. "It’s been a long day or two, but I’m really glad to get it over the line and can’t wait to get started. When I heard of the interest, I was very keen. It’s a huge Club. I’ve watched them in past and want to be a part of it now and kick on.

“It’s a great city and when I arrived at the stadium, it was nice to see it. It’s brilliant and I’m really looking forward to it.”

David Turnbull, Capital City FC from WoL.

Talk of making Wales the first dark sky nation in the world after some experiment in Presteigne.

So we are literally returning to the Dark Ages.

Anyway, I thought North Korea could claim that. The similarities with them is becoming greater every day.

Ref floored by the President if a Turkish club last night.

Wonder if our Chairman would have had the same passion.😏

But seriously, what in earth does he think he was doing? That should be a life ban from football for him and severe penalties imposed in his club.

Apparently all professional games are now suspended.
