David Moss has been suspended from his position at the head of the Youth side of Swansea City
No official reasons have been given for the suspension although the reasons were suggested in the post below (made on the forum) of a disagreement with some parents regards training times.

David Moss has been suspended not sacked. However I would not expect to see him back at the club. The points about him not showing enough interest in the players under 16 and below are valid. Although the youth and junior set up has seen vast improvements in the last two years. The reason why we lost some players to Cardiff at the beginning of the year is their Academy status. It does not mean they are playing better teams than us just bigger names...Cardiff under 9's are not having the best of years with heavy defeats every week. Results mean nothing at this age it is developing players that is important. At Swansea Andrew Hodder is doing a fine job in the most difficult and important of age groups in improving their techique and decision making skills. What is letting Swansea down is the playing facilities. The Elba and Ashliegh Road pitches are fun for local soccer but for a professional outfit are woefully inadequate.
Moss's suspension is because he wanted to develop an elite squad. The most promising players from the 15's, 14's and 13's were to be given extra training during school time to further improve our assets. However the parents of boys not selected for this squad complained to the chairman(via an intermediary) and said they would take their boys out of Swansea if it went ahead. Obviously the chairman would rather keep parents happy than follow the likes of Arsenal, Man utd, Ajax. You now have Morrsiton Town rather than a professional business. Unfortunately this could see some of our most talented players leave for Cardiff or Bristol City who take their boys out of school for one day a week for this extra training. I think the idea is valid and right our youngsters train an average of 150 hours per year, Sheffield Utd train for 450 hours and in France that is up to 600 hours, this is why technically our youngsters are at a disadvantage. This initiative with limited resources would have been a start. It just was not communicated by Mos the right way.
I would not leave my youngester with most Junior league managers. The standard of coaching is poor, attitude on a will to win at all costs is prevalent, behaviour of parents is shameful and training/playing facilities not of a high standard. What they do have and Swans do not is competitive football. I feel all league clubs from under 14 up should be in a league to develop competitiveness and character. Playing in meaningless games from these ages is counter productive.
