With no Roger,Watkin and Savarese, this was always going to be a struggle, but I hadn't counted on the horrific tactical display that Hollin's was about to produce.

Roger Out, Calamity Jones in ;-)
No cock ups this time!
Swans Lineup

J Jones Todd off 62 Bound Howard Price Jenkins Phillips off 76 Coates Verschave off 87 Roberts BoydSUBS Appleby on 76 Mumford on 87 Cusack on 62 De-Vulgt (unused) Fabiano (unused)

Lactics Lineup

Miskelly McNiven Garnett Duxbury Rickers Tipton off 74 Parkin Salt off 74 Prenderville Adams CarssSUBS Alott on 74 Sheridan on 74 Kelly (unused) Hotte (unused) Futcher (unused)

The first 20 minutes passed more or less without incident until we were gifted a goal by Oldham keeper Miskelly after a poor clearance fell at the feet of Roberts and he made no mistake from 20 yards.Oldham dominated the midfield for the remainder of the half, with only Roberts and Boyd able to create any kind of excitement in the quiet vetch field crowd.

We started the second half the brighter of the 2 teams, but Oldham equalised after 53 minutes with a move that took them from their own area, resulting in a through ball which Sam Parkin took around Jones and slotted home.

Ten minutes later the Hollin's show begun,he replaced Todd with Cusack and before the team had reorganised themselves Oldham waltzed through the gap where Todd had been to make it 2-1.Appleby replaced Phillips on 76 minutes, but was largely ineffective, probably due to the fact that the Swans continued to loft the ball down the middle of the pitch, rather than use the 2 wingers at their disposal.

Then with only 5 minutes remaining Hollins decided to take off Verschave, who had been partnering Boyd up front and replace him with Mumford, when you need to score 2 goals in the last 5 minutes it seems the obvious tactic is to replace a striker with a defender!!!!!!!!

The only bright spot came when we hit the post in the final minute, but by that time it was all over, and the fat lady could be heard clearing her throat.

So its all over and we're relegated, even though I've known this for weeks,I'm far more gutted than I thought I'd be.Just can't wait to hear what Hollin's has to say, maybe he still think's we've got a chance!!!!! ,

"now, where did I put that time machine Curt???"

Gwyn’s Eye View : Swansea City v Millwall

The fate today’s Swansea footballers would never have to endure
Swansea City bring this season to a close on Saturday with a home game against Millwall. However, what about those bygone days when footballers had no choice but to go down the pit after their career ended, or open a toy shop, pub or retrain ? That thought would petrify todays modern footballer.
Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update
We have been told by numerous Swansea fans of a chance meeting in a service station between Jamal Lowe and those returning from Norwich yesterday. Nothing in that or indeed the conversation they had yesterday. Indeed there has to be some interpretation from what we know already on Jamal Lowe.
Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
