Bournemouth Game Called Off

Home >Story Index> Bournemouth Match Called Off

Swansea's New Year's day clash with Bournemouth was called off at 10.15am due to a waterlogged pitch. Many Bournemouth fans are blaming the postponement on the groundsmen, who have been regularly watering the pitch over the last few weeks. This, coupled with heavy rain yesterday, has left the pitch in an unplayable condition.

This is the second late postponement the Swans have suffered this season, so let's just hope that all the travelling Swans fans have already got the news. All eyes will now be on the other teams surrounding the drop zone, with both Carlisle and Boston in action today.

Swansea City : Jesurun Rak-Sakyi update and Josh Key back up named
You won’t get anything of note from a football club during any transfer window unless it comes with a caveat that it is in their interest for certain things to be mentioned, proposed or even disregarded as a result of information given. Swansea City have a very tight unit of those who have access to information and any leak is easily traced.
Big match report : Swans let it slip again at Millwall
It happens a lot would be the recollection from the Sheehan era. Unfortunately It still happens is the comment on Vitor Matos’s stewardship to date. And that’s conceding goals at the end of games and halves. Having got themselves into a position to take a point away from the New Den an added time winner from Millwall undone all the Swans hard work.

Millwall v Swans plus player in Swansea for talks
The Swans travelled from Swansea to their overnight accommodation prior to taking on Millwall at the New Den tomorrow (3pm) - today. A fully confident squad with more wins than losses in December. Then of course the opening game of the new year on January 1st saw the Swans defeat WBA 1-0.
Is Millwall going to be as tough as some think it will be ? Defender update.
On the treatment table this afternoon have been Ronald (ankle / lower leg) Josh Key (foot injury) Adam Idah (long term hamstring) Ethan Galbraith (slight hamstring tweak) and Liam Cullen who is expected back for Birmingham City. That’s the latest, but things change.
Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies
There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.

🔴 Swansea City : Vipotnik latest, Galbraith and McConnell transfer news
Swansea City will be linked with as many targets as the summer and you can be sure of that this winter transfer window. The ill informed and basically untruthful sites (who are never challenged) spew out their latest news. Often made up these sites have no real access to agents or intermediaries who we have in our trust, That’s a two way street.
