Start Quicker Says Robbo

Robinson Urges Swans To Start Better

Robinson has been instrumental in both come back games - he set up both goals against Carlisle and scored the second against Cheltenham before injuring himself towards the end of the game that means he will miss the next two matches.

But he has added that the Swans will not be able to keep coming from behind and it is vital that they get starts in games rather than seemingly reacting when they go a goal down.

Talking to the Western Mail he said "We have to get out of the traps quicker

You can't keep giving goals away and hope that you're going to get out at the other end.

"It's funny because we couldn't buy one of those results last season or the season before. We never used to come from behind and win games - and now we've done it three times this season.

"It's not a bad habit but all the players would obviously rather be 1-0 up than 1-0 down.

"The first half was a walloping, the second half a tremendous performance

"We showed our character, as we did against Carlisle, and our play came through at the end. But you're not going to do 46 games a season on character.

"We've got to stop giving teams goals and we're better players than that. We've got to defend better as a unit."

Robinson will miss the games against both Leeds and Brighton but Richie Evans is hopeful he will be back against Swindon on October 2. Robinson is naturally disappointed at missing out against the form side in the division but he believes the Swans are capable of ending their run of 6 straight wins

"I've never played at Elland Road and it's definitely a game I don't want to miss

We're in there fighting with Leeds and they've had a tremendous start.

"It's a funny situation that they're at the bottom of the league but it doesn't matter.

"We know they're a good side and there's going to be a big atmosphere and a big crowd there.

"But we'll go there to win and we're capable of doing a job against them.

"We know what we've got in that dressing room and we're pushing in the right direction."

Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update
We have been told by numerous Swansea fans of a chance meeting in a service station between Jamal Lowe and those returning from Norwich yesterday. Nothing in that or indeed the conversation they had yesterday. Indeed there has to be some interpretation from what we know already on Jamal Lowe.
Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
