32Red Confirmed As Swansea City Sponsors

After weeks of one of the worst kept Swansea secrets ever - 32Red are finally unveiled as the Swans new sponsors

It has long since been reported as "fact" that a sponsorship deal had been agreed with the online casino company who were previous sponsors of Premier League Aston Villa.

It ends a two year sponsorship with local company Swansea.com and is reported to be the biggest sponsorship deal in the Swans history.

It also bucks a trend in football where many clubs are failing to attract top level sponsors due to the problems in the global economy.

Swansea vice chairman Leigh Dineen said “It shows how far Swansea City has come,

“We saw a number of other major companies express an interest in becoming our main sponsor and there were some very interesting discussions over the course of last season, but 32Red was without doubt the best deal for us. 32Red were talking to a number of other clubs, including some in the Premiership, about shirt sponsorship, but we are delighted to become their chosen partners in football. We are now a Championship club with a Premiership sponsor – and that’s something that we should be very proud of.”

Ed Ware, CEO of 32Red added “We are thrilled to be partnering Swansea City, one of the most exciting clubs in the Championship.

“Swansea has become a highly progressive team over recent seasons and we are looking forward to an exciting time with them at the Liberty Stadium as the club’s main sponsor.”

Due to Football League guidelines the name of 32Red will not be on children's replica shirts which instead will bear the logo "Second to None" which Swansea City and 32Red say is in recognition of their "fantastic support"

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.

He was a revelation for the Swans for the few games he played this season, and now it emerges Sam Parker has ‘turned down’ a new Swansea City contract.
