Nouble Wanting People To Talk About Him

Striker Frank Nouble believes he will have done his job if he leaves Swansea with everyone talking about him

Nouble grabbed his first goal for the club in Tuesday's win over Watford at Vicarage Road and he was singing the praises of Swansea and their manager when he spoke to the Evening Post the day after the game.

"I'm young and I will keep striving to be my best because if I can go back to West Ham with everyone talking about me again then I've done my job," Nouble said.

"I've got a manager here who is confident in what I can do and a team that can play some great football, so the chance is there for me.

"I excited a few people coming through first of all, just as I think any player coming into the Premier League at 17 would, but it is about being consistent and I've come to an age where that's what's got to happen now.

"We've seen it happen with Scott Sinclair.

"He's a bit older than me, but he left Chelsea to have that chance to be consistent.

"He's playing week-in, week-out and it's no surprise he's had a great start because of it.

"For me it's a case of following that lead.

"It's a learning process," he adds.

"I played wide left for West Brom, and Swindon had two in-form strikers (Charlie Austin and Billy Paynter) playing well at the time, so it was a bit quiet at times for me in those loans. Brendan has told me to show my qualities and what I can do and, if I get to play, I think I can do well.

"I've only been here a week so relationships in the team are only just coming for me. I intend to be here for a good three months, and I'm sure I'll get my chances.

"Brendan is a great manager and I won't be the only one singing his praises here," he says.

"Hopefully, at the end of the season, he will get what he deserves, which is a team at least in the play-offs.

"Other teams have spent big and have some big-name players but they aren't doing much in the league at the moment.

"This is the season where it could happen — but only at the end of the season, because right now it's about doing it on the pitch."

The fate today’s Swansea footballers would never have to endure
Swansea City bring this season to a close on Saturday with a home game against Millwall. However, what about those bygone days when footballers had no choice but to go down the pit after their career ended, or open a toy shop, pub or retrain ? That thought would petrify todays modern footballer.
Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update
We have been told by numerous Swansea fans of a chance meeting in a service station between Jamal Lowe and those returning from Norwich yesterday. Nothing in that or indeed the conversation they had yesterday. Indeed there has to be some interpretation from what we know already on Jamal Lowe.
Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
