The Swans finish their busy week on Sunday with a trip to Crystal Palace in the Premier League knowing that a win would end the week with them in the top half of the Premier League on top of everything else that they have achieved.
The location around Selhurst Park may not match the culture around Valencia and there may not be a bright sun throwing 29 degrees heat towards you when the game starts but the match takes on equal importance as the Swans go in search of more points as they look to extend their unbeaten league run to three games.
And on paper it is one of those fixtures that you would have noted us down to go out and win. We knew the start to our season was going to be difficult and - with greatest of respect to Palace - this would be the game that we had probably listed as the potential easiest of our first six league games,
Palace themselves have only one of their opening four league games - a 3-1 win over Sunderland at Selhurst Park - and ironically will probably have highlighted this game as one that they could potentially win especially knowing that the game was coming after one of our European adventures. However, their fans have become increasingly less confident as the week has gone on and they have seen our performances against Liverpool and Valencia in the last six days.
What we do know will happen is there will be some significant changes from the side that started on Thursday night and we can expect certainly to see Ben Davies, Leon Britton and Jonjo Shelvey all to return to the starting line up as Michael looks to continue the utilisation of most of his squad as we embark on the 10th game of our season already. Likely to miss out are Tiendalli, Canas and De Guzman from Thursday and there could also be a return for Wayne Routledge in place of possibly Pozuelo for this particular encounter. Up front I have a feeling we may see Michu start as the front man which could mean Pozuelo stays in place although the understanding that is starting to develop between Michu and Bony suggests that we may keep that partnership in place particularly as one or both could take a rest for the midweek trip to Birmingham.
Palace manager Ian Holloway has long since been a fan of the Swans and our style as he told BBC Sport ahead of the game "Swansea changed how I see the whole of football.
"They made me realise how beautiful the game is and how passing and moving can make you a better defensive unit."
The Swans will hope to give him a further insight into that football style tomorrow and judging by the last three games the additions to the squad are really starting to gel into the style in which we play and yet again we are threatening sides constantly and Palace should be aware of that tomorrow afternoon.
Maybe it is just the confidence that we have gained as fans from the last three games but I am struggling to see anything other than a Swans win at Selhurst tomorrow afternoon so let's hope that confidence is not misplaced and we get the result that we know we are capable of.
