Swans Join Bournemouth In Eder Chase?

The Daily Mail are reporting that the Swans are preparing a £6m bid for Sporting Braga striker Eder as we continue to be linked with most of the strikers available in Europe it seems.

Eder scored 10 goals in the Primeira Liga last season and has been capped 18 times for Portugal and certainly seems to fit the bill for the kind of player that the Swans would be interested in.

Bournemouth are already rumoured to have had a bid rejected for the player in the region of around £5m as they look to strengthen their own squad ahead of their first ever season in the top flight

The Swans we know are in the hunt for at least one striker in this transfer window although there is every chance that they will look to bring in two which - any departures allowing - could well signal the end of our summer spending with us having strengthened the squad so far in all the other positions that were needed.

We have been linked with several different strikers so far this summer with the likes of Jordan Rhodes, Troy Deeney and Giovanni Simeone all linked along with the unlikely target of Chelsea striker Loic Remy.

I still firmly believe that the name(s) of the striker(s) that we are really chasing are yet to be released although I have to say that the capture of someone like Eder makes more sense than most given his price tag and the fact that he may well be happy to not be guaranteed a starting spot every game and fight out for his chances alongside Gomis rather than automatically starting ahead of him or sitting on the bench.

Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update
We have been told by numerous Swansea fans of a chance meeting in a service station between Jamal Lowe and those returning from Norwich yesterday. Nothing in that or indeed the conversation they had yesterday. Indeed there has to be some interpretation from what we know already on Jamal Lowe.
Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
