Mitrovic - Now It's Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd?
The Premier League 'big guns' are the latest and probably most unlikely teams to have entered the race for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic or at least they have done anyway according to the Mail.
The online version of the paper has alleged that Chelsea are weighing up their options and wonder if they should put in a bid for the player to strengthen their squad further for the new season.
The paper also says "Anderlecht will sell but the Serbia international wants to play Champions League football and is looking for wages of around £60,000 a week plus bonuses."
To date it has only really been Swansea and Newcastle reported to be watching Mitrovic but with the addition of the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool it has taken a strange turn that just doesn't seem to add up.
The paper does add that they have reservations on whether he could fit into their squads - or even add to them - and I have to say that I really cannot see anyone other than Newcastle now moving for the player.
With Eder supposedly close to a move to South Wales there really seems no possibility of the Swans making a £15m purchase unless Gomis is on his way out of South Wales so that seems to leave the road open for Newcastle although I suspect we will continue to be linked until the future of Mitrovic is resolved.

Swans scrap it out to beat the Baggies There were some worried looks when Swansea head coach, Vitor Matos announced his starting eleven against West Bromwich Albion, not least the fact he had no striker in the team. It turned out to be a masterstroke despite a fifteen minute period in the second half, and some uneasy moments at the end of this Championship fixture.
