Swans Battle AC Milan For Ezequiel Munoz?
An interesting rumour gathered a bit of pace today as the Swans were linked with a move for defender Ezequiel Munoz in the Italian Press.
The former Palermo defender saw his contract expire this week and he is yet to decide where his future lies although it is also reported that Italian giants AC Milan are interested in securing the signature of the Argentinian.
Dinamo Moscow are also monitoring progress for the player who went on loan to Sampdoria when Milan interest back in January never materialised into any form of move.
He very nearly became a full international for Argentina back in 2009, so the promise has been there thoughout his career.
Having been called up to Diego Maradona’s squad for a friendly against Panama, Munoz went on to suffer a cruciate ligament injury in the build up and end his Albiceleste career, for now at least.
He was somewhat of a lucky charm for both Palermo and Sampdoria in the 2014-15 season, just Fiorentina and Juventus coming out on top in the 17 matches that he was handed a starting berth.
It's a strange one this one as I'm not sure that the Swans are in for another central defender but there has been this summer reported interest in Ashley Williams, Federico Fernandez and Kyle Bartley so maybe this is the Swans looking at options in case they need to fill a void caused by one of those at any point.
