Tremmel Set To Make Swansea Return?
The Swans look like they are closing in on their third goalkeeper for the new season and it will be the return of a familiar face in Gerhard Tremmel if the reports in today's paper are to be believed.
Tremmel spent four years at the Swans prior to being released at the back end of last season but now it looks as if he may be returning after other options never materialised to be anything leaving us one goalkeeper short of a completed squad.
The arrival of Kristoffer Nordfeldt gave us the first back up to Fab but we have been linked with other keepers but none of them seem to have been fully followed through and that has led Monk to potentially turn back to Tremme.
Tremmel made over 50 appearances for us in his four year stint here, many of them in the cup competitions and he was an ever present in the run to win the Capital One Cup in 2012/13, a season where he also made 14 Premier League appearances thanks to an injury to Michel Vorm.
Appearances last season were restricted to four in cup competitions and two in the Premier League after Fab was sent off against West Ham in December.
Tremmel has been unable to find himself a new club since his release and it looks like a join up with us again giving us a more experienced back up to our first two choices.
