Barrow Ready For Blackburn Chance

Mo Barrow is back in the Championship again after the Swans let him go out on a three month loan to Blackburn following the spell he had last season at Nottingham Forest.

Barrow is highly rated at Swansea and the club certainly see a long term future for him at the club but it is important at this point in time for him to have first team experience and it is clear that he isn't likely to get too much of that at the Liberty just yet.

Barrow made an almost instant impact at Swansea last season and made 13 appearances in total although 10 of them were from the bench. But to have played a part in 11 of our 38 Premier League games tells you how highly we rate him and therefore it is key now that he gets appearance time at Blackburn so we can see him develop as we need him to.

And the player himself is keen to get going as soon as possible to make the most of the spell that he has.

"I’m really happy to be here,” the 22-year-old said. "I played against them twice last season and both times it was a tough game.

"They have a really good team. So I’m looking forward to joining the team and to play with them.

"With Swansea we got beaten 3-1 and we drew with Forest. So I remember that every time we played against them they had a good side and a really good crowd.

"Now I am here [and] need to work hard on the training ground, there are a lot of good players here, so I need to work hard, give 100% and get into the first team.

"I spoke to Markus Olsson [Blackburn Rovers’ Swedish midfielder] and he told me it was a big club with really great people and fans,” Barrow who moved to Sweden more than a decade ago said.

"I didn’t need a lot of convincing, I can see for myself it is a big club and the lads are nice.”

Barrow played 30 minutes as a substitute on Tuesday night as Blackburn went out of the Capital One Cup to Blackburn.

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
