"Feed Bafe And He Will Score"

Andre Ayew's ball to Bafetimbi Gomis accounted for Manchester United on Sunday with the two players now having scored seven goals between them in just four competitive games together since Ayew arrived in Swansea this summer.

It is developing into the partnership that we have craved for so long as both players have an eye for goal and seem to work well together which can only bode well for the future.

And they most definitely feed off each other as Ayew's ball to Gomis for the second goal was a thing of wonder and something described by former England manager Glenn Hoddle as "the best bit of football I have seen this season"

I would imagine that at the moment Premier League defenders would not like to come up against these two players as they have both scored in three of our four fixtures to date and had Ayew's header at Sunderland been a centimetre or two to the right it would have been in all four games.

Ayew is full of praise for striker Gomis and believes that if the Swans continue to give him the service he will continue to score the goals. He has nine in his last ten appearances and four in four this season making him one of the hottest strikers in the Premier League, not a bad return for a player who was heavily criticised just twelve months ago by some Swans fans.

"Bafe is a player I know very well, I know a lot of his movements,” said Ayew.

"I’m not able to find him every time, but if I’ve got the ball I try to look for him first. Then we have other people around.

"He moves really well, I always try to find him, and at the moment he is on fire, four goals from four games.

"We need to feed him as much as we can so he can get us the goals.

"He is a complete striker. He plays in the air, he keeps the ball, he goes behind the back, he’s quick,” added Ayew.

"He is a player who was underestimated for a while.

"He’s a big striker and with the opportunity he’s had since January, he’s proving that he is one of the top strikers in the league, and I hope he keeps scoring goals because that will win us games.

"Bafe is our leading striker, he’s here to score goals and we’re going to try to feed him as much as we can.

"What’s important is the squad. If everyone is chipping in with their assists or goals that will help Swansea.

"Bafe’s going to stay. Hopefully Bafe’s going to stay and help us.”

Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
