Tottenham Ready For Tough Swansea Challenge

There are many Premier League clubs that know that Swansea is a tough place to go as a visiting team and Tottenham will today aim to become the first team to leave the Liberty Stadium with all three points this season.

Spurs have won here on their last three visits and will be looking to make it four today and record an eighth straight win over the Swans in the process.

They can certainly consider themselves lucky to have left last season with all three points in the bag after a highly entertaining game where the Swans were desperately unlucky not to take a point let alone all three.

The first meeting between the two sides at this level ended in a draw at the end of 2011 but since then it has been all Spurs as they have recorded those seven straight wins and it is the worst record for the Swans against anyone in the Premier League since we won promotion.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is expecting another tough encounter this afternoon as he looks to lift his side into the Champions League places with a win.

"We expect another big, big game and a very tough game," the Tottenham head coach said. "Swansea is a team that started the season very well.

"I think that they have a lot of good players and play in a philosophy that always puts the opposition in a very difficult situation.

"I think it is another a challenge for us to compete Sunday.

"It is true that the effort was fantastic from players in the last few weeks. We played a lot of games and very tough games.

"We need to compete and make a big effort, but before the international break we need to do our best, to give our best, and try to win the game.

"They are a very important three points for us to keep our position or improve our position in the table.

"It's true that we will expect a very tough game and they have had all week to prepare for the game against us. Now, we are thinking to be ready for Sunday."

Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update
We have been told by numerous Swansea fans of a chance meeting in a service station between Jamal Lowe and those returning from Norwich yesterday. Nothing in that or indeed the conversation they had yesterday. Indeed there has to be some interpretation from what we know already on Jamal Lowe.
Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
