Everton Set To Appoint Koeman On Tuesday
According to the Daily Telegraph and the Liverpool Echo the appointment of Ronald Koeman will be concluded on Tuesday after talks between the Dutchman and Everton were concluded today.
The Daily Telegraph is claiming that Ronald Koeman has told Southampton that he wishes to leave the club and that compensation terms between the two clubs have been agreed.
There will be no clause to prevent Everton poaching Saints players as that would contravene Premier League regulations, strange however that no one has mentioned this before ! however as Saints have most of the first team squad on long term contracts it is unlikely that they would sanction any sale to Everton or any other club in the short to medium term.
The Telegraph reports that the only thing holding up the deal was Koeman jetting off on holiday, although that sounds strange as surely if the deal was tied up before he went then why did he not put pen to paper before leaving and save a weeks hassle ?
Also the Liverpool Echo states there is a mound of paperwork to get through, why ? surely this would have been dealt with over the last week.
How accurate the reports are will soon be found out, certainly you would expect the Liverpool Echo to be being briefed by Everton so unless there is a massive turnaround it seems that Ronald Koeman's departure is imminent.
