Right Back Becomes Swans Target
So today it was reported that Tottenham and Chelsea target Santiago Arias is also a target for the Swans as they look to add a quality right back to their squad ahead of the closing of the transfer window.
Arias has been linked with a move to the Liberty before now but the Sun reports today that he is attracting the interest of Paul Clement who is keen on a £12m deal.
The stumbling block would clearly be the interest of last season's top 2 in the Premier League who are both rumoured to be keen on their own personal deal for the defender and of course have many attractions that we cannot offer namely money, trophy chances and Champions League football.
The Sun has claimed that Tottenham are ready to make a bid for Arias, but the defender is now open to joining us.
Arias is a good and established right-back, and the Colombian would be a good signing for us and would certainly improve an area where we have looked light for a few seasons now.
The defender moved to PSV from Sporting CP back in 2013, and has since made 140 appearances, scored seven goals and provided 15 assists for Eindhoven across all competitions.
