Odds On - Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

This is your last chance to have a read of our betting preview for tonight's game against West Brom at the Liberty, take a read of the preview by reading on below

It's a tough week for the Swans this week as the visit of West Bromwich Albion to the Liberty tonight is sandwiched in between the home defeat to Norwich and a road trip to Derby County coming up this weekend.

It was not a good weekend in more ways than one as the Swans capitulated 4-1 to the league leaders at home on Saturday and Graham Potter will be wanting to correct that this evening against another promotion chasing side in West Brom.

Relegated along with us from the Premier League last May the Baggies have adapted slightly better to life in the Championship than us and sit five points in front of us making tonight's result all the more important if we want to keep pace with the play off chasing sides.

The Swans official sponsors BetUK have the Swans as the underdogs for the game with West Brom available at 31/20, the Swans at 9/5 and the draw at 9/4 which does suggest a tight game for the Liberty crowd to watch.

Because it is a relatively tough game to call then the value in the odds appears to be in some of the other markets on offer. Oliver McBurnie is 5/1 to score the opening goal of the game which could prove to have some value in it (he has on more than one occasion delivered on this so far this season) and Bersant Celina at 3/1 to score at any time is also one that could have some merit in it.

Within the correct score market then a 2-1 Swans win at 39/4 could be worth a backing and if you fancy us to be winning at half time and full time then 16/5 is a decent return. Alternatively you could have the 3/1 on offer for the Swans to win by one goal (any scoreline)

There are of course many more bets available via BetUK and these are designed to be just a selection and with a previous track record to go by the real smart money will go on anything other than what we have mentioned here!!

The fate today’s Swansea footballers would never have to endure
Swansea City bring this season to a close on Saturday with a home game against Millwall. However, what about those bygone days when footballers had no choice but to go down the pit after their career ended, or open a toy shop, pub or retrain ? That thought would petrify todays modern footballer.
Jamal Lowe : Still to be contacted regards his future at Swansea, Langstaff update
We have been told by numerous Swansea fans of a chance meeting in a service station between Jamal Lowe and those returning from Norwich yesterday. Nothing in that or indeed the conversation they had yesterday. Indeed there has to be some interpretation from what we know already on Jamal Lowe.
Brave Swans in memorable game at Carrow Road
It was a pulsating game to watch and very much one of my favourite away games of the season. The Swans looked an entirely different side to that we saw at Middlesbrough when it is clear a catalyst for commitment was agreed behind the scenes at Swansea City. To a man every player grafted and wore the shirt with pride. To see the players really acknowledge the Swans support at Carrow Road this afternoon was emotional.
