This month the swans have taken a few hits on their loan investments as January moves forwards. More players to go and more players in, that’s positive - and we simply have to trust the model that has gone before is the model for moving on, positively. Swans latest transfer news
Most Swans supporters will, admit that the biggest loss from the three loan players this month was Morgan Gibbs-White, his return to Wolves was a hammer blow for Steve a Cooper. The return of Kasey Palmer to Bristol City was a neither here nor there, it was clear his efforts initially were becoming an average performance overall, Swansea won’t miss him. In the case of Viktor Gyökeres he simply didn’t fit in with the Swansea way as it is today, he was a failure, come on let’s be ruthless here, you, didn’t cry any tears on his leaving.

Yan Dhanda
A punt as a signing from Liverpool this player has turned into a bit of a gem for Cooper. It took a while for Dhanda to show his worth but performances this season have been more than decent. Leeds United are looking to firm up their midfield, but will only move for him if they can’t leave it until the summer. Marseille and RB Leipzig will turn his eye for sure, as will the numerous other clubs Including Bournemouth connected to him. It’s all a bit like moving house for Dhanda, if David Brooks goes to Villa from Bournemouth, if a player goes the other way, if, if, if. Thats the scenario for Dhanda, Swansea must have numerous things in place before they weaken the squad any more than has happened. If Dhanda leaves this month it can be seen as a positive, but very much dependent on replacements which Swansea have been slow to secure this month, albeit having had a few setbacks.
Jordan Garrick
Here’s a player with immense pace and as he proved in the FA Cup a player who has a decent cross on him too. He would be invaluable to a league one side on loan this season, but some stories circulating are referencing a USA move since the new Brexit employment rules started on January 1st.
Freddie Woodman
Woodman's continued progression is now causing a stir across some of the better premier league sides. Especially Arsenal, Freddie's father, Andy Woodman, remember him ? is the under 23 coach at Arsenal, and speculation continues they may put a bid in to Newcastle this month to secure his services. However, we do know Freddie doesn't want to leave the club in Jnauary, and if the unlikely happens and the swans are promoted Swansea would be his first choice. The situation with Conor Hourihane and Jordan Morris wont look any different until Tuesday or Wednesday as Swansea find themselves once again being the victim of their own success in scouting and development. Neil Warnock now at Middlesboro is following suit as did Cardiff by becoming interested in a player he hardly knows - but what he does know is that if Swansea City are interested he may as well follow suit. Conor Hourihane is now within numerous clubs sites and if Cooper wants him he cant hang around another week.
Lyle Yorks agent, sources say Morris is close to signing for Swansea City
Morris’ representative, Lyle Yorks has already stated Jordan wants a move to Europe, he cited numerous premier league sides, maybe a flight of fancy, but that is what agents do. If our sources are correct Jordan Morris will be a swans player very soon.

However, there is something else simmering under the surface and we do know its big. What that is will no doubt become clear this month, but fair play to Swansea City sources, nothing is being said, tight lipped is the order of the day. Frustrating yes, but hopefully this tact will avoid some of the lesser skilled clubs getting their noses in to the pie.Cooper has remained very cute on this, never giving anything away and this season he has learned much regards his trade.
